Service has been known to destroy such hives (rather than insist they only
be requeened).
Do they overwinter any of these hot hives up north or do all the hives get moved back to Florida? It would be very interesting to see how they'd handle the cold winters.
I wonder why the com. beekeepers shy away from these hives. I'd depopulate and re-queen them.
