I agree with Joe about holes in supers.  Seems to me that Farrar liked them, 
though, at least in brood chambers.

We've discussed some of the other drawbacks of upper summer entrances in the 
archives as well.

Most beekeepers who have winter entrances above the broods close them in 
summer.
