I just checked for details with the beekeeper.
The queen was put in the observation hive (5 std frames vertically) in
the first week of March, with a frame of bees with some brood, in the #
2 position from the bottom.
That frame has been filled with brood since, and the frame above is now
also filled with brood (mostly worker, some drone cells in appropriate
locations). 3 and a half frames are covered with bees. 2 queen cells
have been started.
