Perhaps there was further transatlantic confusion over the choice of words:

Noun: voyeur

1. A person who derives sexual gratification from observing the naked
bodies or sexual acts of others, especially from a secret vantage point.
2. An obsessive observer of sordid or sensational subjects.

Noun: lurker

   1. Someone waiting in concealment
   2. A non-active subscriber to a mailing list or other Internet
communication channel

I am happy to lurk on this list, but not to be a voyeur of it!!

Regards
