Does the following recommendation for drench application of Fumidil still apply?  

"The key thing for summer treatment appears to be to get 30mg active
ingredient into a colony each week, repeated for 4 weeks.  That works out to
the following dilutions and amount applied.

454g bottle/40 gal syrup =30mg/pt fed

454g bottle /20gal syrup = 30mg/cup drench

454g bottle /10gal syrup = 30mg/half cup drench"  - Randy Oliver as a follow up to Dr Mussen's newsletter.

I was recently told by a fellow beek that during a presentation at a local beekeeping conference, they were told that this drench recommendation did more harm than good.
