Looking for a few suggestions, if you don't mind!

getting ready for summer and am going through my floor kits, as we call them. I grow bored with the ones I have. What are *your* favorite hands-on activities for elementary age kids to do on a drop in basis?

Also...our theme for this summer is "Game" and I'm looking for some science-type games or puzzles that can be done at a table. I have two right now: one is just shaker cups with different objects inside, and the child has to match them to an image of the object. Second is a categorizing game: put three items in front of the child and ask what they all have in common (same color, same material, all used for writing, etc)

Any thoughts and suggestions most welcome.

It is a beautiful day here in Boston, hope all is well where you are,
AD
