Hi Kate
I'm from the Centre for Life in Newcastle in the UK (www.life.org.uk) - we
run the UK Maker Faire (http://makerfaireuk.com/ ) here every year and were
the first science centre to host a faire back in 2009 and would love to be
involved in an ASTC session on this. Let me know if you'd like me on board.
I am emailing from home so if you want to contract me direct, reply to the
Life mail address to which I have also copied this.
Best wishes
IAN

Subject: Maker-Faire Session at ASTC 2012

I'd like to propose a session for ASTC 2012 about the DIY movement and Maker
Faires related to science centers. We'll be hosting our first Mini-Maker
Faire next year, in collaboration with the Columbus Idea Foundry. I'd like
to talk to others who have hosted these or are doing DIY-related
programming. Anyone interested in co-presenting and/or sharing their
experiences around this topic?
