Hello Everyone,
For the 2011 annual conference, The Sara Lee Schupf Family Center for Play, Science and Technology Learning (SciPlay) at the New York Hall of Science, along with our collaborators from Brooklyn College and Tufts University, is looking to put together a session about learning science in play-based environments. Playful learning refers to student-directed learning experiences driven by the enjoyment of engaging with the activity.
How does your institution define play? Have you developed, implemented or evaluated programming that uses play as the primary driver for learning science? What are some design features that help support play but at the same time learning?
We would like to hear about your work and involve as many institutions as we can.
Regards,
Adiel Fernandez
Science Instructor
