ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************

This year's conference will feature a number of opportunities for attendees to learn more about how the science center field is addressing the issue of climate change. In addition to several exciting climate change-focused sessions, ASTC's International Action on Global Warming (IGLO) and Communicating Climate Change (C3) projects will host a "Worldwide Climate Change Panorama," which will offer participants the chance to learn about cutting-edge climate change programs through exciting visuals and brief presentations. (See the final program for exact location and time).

We are currently accepting submissions of three-minute presentations for the Worldwide Climate Change Panorama. Presenters include: Bishop Museum, Honolulu, Hawaii; Chabot Space & Science Center, Oakland, California; Exploringtime.org; MadaTech, Israel National Museum of Science, Haifa; National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration; Norsk Teknisk Museum, Oslo, Norway; Science North, Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.

All presentations will be featured on the IGLO website after the conference. If you are interested in presenting your center's work, please contact Kate Crawford at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. We want to represent as many centers as possible, so if you are unable to make a presentation, but would like to share the work your institution is doing to address climate change (or would like to supplement your presentation with additional information), you can contact Kate to make arrangements to have a poster on display.

To learn more about IGLO , visit us at www.astc.org/iglo<http://www.astc.org/iglo>, where we've just launched a series of guest blog posts on our activities linked to the upcoming COP15 conference.

If you would like to receive the IGLO newsletter, contact Chris Jones at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
