ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************
What does your science center do to make sure the floors are inspected for
trip hazards or spills? A local Whole Foods uses a bar code scanner and
sends a staff person around to key stations throughout the day, such as near
the water fountain. They use it to protect themselves from lawsuits (it
helps them establish an area was dry and safe as of the last time it was
checked).
I'd love to hear the way you do these inspections - it would really help the
science center I'm working with on their safety and security procedures and
manuals.
Thanks!
