ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************
Another early science center leader has passed away. Joel Bloom died this
week. His obituary is in the Philadelphia Inquirer today:

Longtime director of the Franklin Institute and founding president of ASTC,
he was also active in the American Association of Museums. I was fortunate
to know and work with him during my early years at ASTC, and like others,
found inspiration in his stories about the influence of his early visits to
AMNH. He'll be missed.
