We wintered our bees with formic pads and spacers in place 2 years ago and
the hives seemed dryer and cleaner than usual in the spring. We plan to
leave them in place this winter. Should make feeding patties and applying
formic next year a little easier. I seem to recall a page on the Miteaway
website about this practice but I don't see it there now. David?
