Bill Bartlett expresses concern about the recent lack of tulip tree nectar.
Here in Louisiana the trees themselves aren't around any more. I remember
going through the woods marking tulip trees or "yellow poplar" to cut for
lumber to make weather-boarding for our house. Can't find 'em now. The
last one I remember was in my mother's yard. We still have locust trees,
but blooming is a sometimes thing.
