This list has been a source of immense support for breastfeeding
problems for our mothers detained in the asylum system in the UK. I'm
pleased to say, that, finally, progress is being made on making this a
much wider issue.

I had thought the news report would be a small, but important, chink in
the façade that there is nothing wrong with how we treat babies and
children in detention centres here... but thanks to Al Aynsley-Green,
the Children's Commissioner, it has just become a much bigger story than
I ever thought possible.
I know many of you here wrote to Alison Blenkinsop, and supported her
complaints on not feeding Baby C that day. Alison is on holiday, so I'm
posting this in her name, as a thank you from her, and a huge thanks
from me too. :-)
Baby C and her Mum are happily resettled in a new home, as of
yesterday. Here's hoping she gets to stay here and we can all watch her
thrive and grow. :-)
