Dr. Tom Seeley, one of the authors of the article the Economist
> discusses, will be a featured speaker at the 2009 EAS Conference in
> Ellicottville, NY the week of August 3 - 7. He will be discussing, and
> better, demonstrating the behaviors discussed in the article in our bee

For anyone who has never heard Tom, go if you can.  I loved his talks at the
Maine State Beekeepers meeting last year. Informative and good science.
