Dear all,
A museum curator position is being advertised by the National Museum of American History--full time, permanent, federal GS-11 ($62,467 - $81,204/year) with promotion potential to a GS 15.
While the position isn't archaeological, I would imagine that some historical archaeologists--especially the industrial arch. folks, are likely to have the relevant background.
Here's an excerpt from the announcement:
Knowledge of American work and industry history collections (transportation, agriculture, power machinery, electricity, manufacturing, metal, mining, food technology and petroleum) to carry out research; manage, document and care for collections; manage storage areas on and off-site; and to support the development of exhibitions. The incumbent uses subject and functional knowledge of American work and industry history to accomplish these tasks. http://jobview.usajobs.gov/GetJob.aspx?JobID=87890852&JobTitle=Museum+Curator&q=296071&where=&brd=3876&vw=b&FedEmp=Y&FedPub=Y&x=81&y=10&AVSDM=2010-05-04+14%3a05%3a00
