I do appreciate the reference to contacting some of us OLD FOLKS, 80+, for information. I am 80, well, in a month or so. I heard an explanation of History the other day which I will pass on. The question was; "Why study History?". The answer given was: "The study of History is who we are and where we came from!" I never thought of it that way. Now I wish I had paid more attention in class for it seems I really missed out on a lot of fun.
Speaking of Fun, are any of you aware of digs, Field Schools or projects in Maine or New Hampshire during the Spring , Summer or Fall of 2010? I visited relatives in Acton, N.H. this summer and nosed around some really good historical parts. Haven't been able to find site info concerning the area. I am thinking of rounding up my survey gear and going back in 2010.
