I am teaching two such classes. The one class deals with vernacular
architecture and its relationship and value in archaeology. Books you could
read before are vernacular architecture by henry glassie and any books by
Dell Upton or Bernard Herman.
The other deals with the way we manage and protect our historical and
prehistoric resources; its called Heritage Management. You could read books
by Tom King as a way to prepare. Please do not hesitate to email me or see
me, if you wish, for more information. dgorr
