I worked on a project that was near the Llano Del Rio commune near
Palmdale, California.
Here are two references from I found:

Shor, Francis Robert
1997	Utopianism and Radicalism in Reforming America, 1888 - 1918.
Westport, Conn. Greenwood Press.

Hine, Robert V.
1953	California's Utopian Colonies. San Marino, California.

Subject: Gray Literature: Utopian Community Archaeology?

Hi Histarch Community,

Have you or your colleagues investigated a utopian community for a CRM
project?

I'm trying to conduct a fairly thorough literature search for
archaeological studies of utopian and intentional communities, and would
appreciate any references to gray literature or other under- or
unpublished works.

Please contact me off-list at [log in to unmask]

Thanks in advance,
Stacy Kozakavich
