5th Biennial Fields of Conflict conference
Ghent, Belgium, 17th - 20th October 2008
Find Fields of Conflict in the 'Cockpit of Europe'
Meet us in Ghent, Belgium, for the leading international conference on
battlefield and conflict archaeology.
The region of Flanders has been Europe's 'blood alley' from medieval times
to the 20th century. Near to Ghent are the lines of the first world war
western front and the sites of many major battles.
Take this opportunity to be also part of the commemoration of the
three-hundredth anniversary of the battle of Oudenaarde by a visit to the
battlefield and the major exhibition celebrating Marlborough's victory.
