Dear listers,
Can anyone share information or comparative finds of miniature ball clay
smoking pipes? A mixed domestic context in MA has yielded part of a bowl
(1.5 cm high) and a stem (with crossmended bowl, 4 cm long apparently
complete). Other than its size it is a usual shape for probably 19th
century, plain bowl and stem, no heel or spur. There is a bore hole all the
way through. The best I've come up with so far is an oddly short bubble
pipe. Any leads appreciated, thank you!
