I hereby tender my regrets for turning Geoff's message into a political monologue. Histarch should, as many of you have pointed out, remain apolitical. My point was that I can't see the harm in the announcement coming out just before July 4, if indeed that was the plan in the first place. Sounds like it wasn't. In any case, so what?
However, I confess to allowing my personal opinions regarding the current election cycle to take over my message. That's an inappropriate use of histarch space, for which I sincerely apologize.
That, I hope, is the end of that.
