For clarity, the 80mg/kg applies only to imported honey of tropical origin
and blends thereof; UK beekeepers have to comply with the EU limit of
40mg/kg.
My understanding is that these limits are purely to prevent overheating and
long storage, as other foods can contain much higher amounts, e.g. jam has,
I believe, up to 2000mg/kg.
