Hi Sara,
Bishop and Meany sounds like a business partnership and may have been dissolved with one of the partners continuing. One possibility is that Bishop was Roland Porter Bishop who I believe owned Bishop & Co. of San Diego (Betty Zumwalt,"Ketchup, Picles, Sauces: 19th Century Food in Glass (1980). The company was in existence in 1904 (range of dates not known) and was absorbed by the National Biscuit Co. in 1932. They bottled jam, soups, catsups, preserves, chili sauce, etc., and the base of the bottles was embossed "BISHOP & CO." If this company seems relevant, you can contact me offline for more information.
