HB 2927 amends the Texas Health and Safety Code (see link I sent last week). The Texas Historic Commission (our SHPO) is working on revisions to policies on human remains/cemeteries at this time. That's why CTA is discussing the topic. BJH

Could Texas's newly-minted unmarked burial law (HB 2927) be used to
preserve or at least remove the ashes to another location? 2927 could
be used to get the local district court to cover the cost of removing
the remains to another location.
