I would like to point out the recent publication of a book by Reggie
Blaszczyk titled *American Consumer Society, 1865-2005: From Hearth to HDT.
*This is a volume in the American History Series by Harlan Davidson Press. It
is ISBN (978-0-88295-264-2) and is a 384-page paperback that lists retails
for $24.95 but is cheaper on line. This book will probably be of interest
to those of us working in the second half of the 19th and the 20th
centuries. Many of you are probably familiar with Reggie’s frequently cited
book *Imagining Consumers: Design and Innovation from Wedgwood to Corning*.
Peace,
George L. Miller
