I found what I believe are arc lamp carbon rods during an excavation at Twin Lights lighthouse in Monmouth County, New Jersey.

As I have written in the past, molded carbon artifacts would make an
excellent volume in the Left Coast Press book series, Guides to
American Artifacts.
We are seeking interested authors.
