I'm currently listening to a CD from Berkshire of Riggiero Ricci playing
the Beethoven Violin Concerto w/ the Orchestra del Chianti (sic) conducted
by Piero Bellugi (are the names of the orchestra and conductor pseudonyms
that anyone here recognizes?).
I purchased it because it features, in addition to Beethoven's own cadenza,
susequent tracks w/ cadenzas by David, Vieuxtemps, Joachim (1st and 2d
versions), Laub, Wieniawski, Saint-Saens, Auer, Ysaye, Busoni, Kreisler,
Milstein, and Schnittke.
I'm just hearing the David now.
