I have used and before posted on BEE-L the method the USDA_ARS came up with 
using canola oil/menthol and shop towels. A legal method which is described 
in the 1997 or 1999 Feb. ABJ.  Not sure of the year but believe 1997 but I 
am sure of the month.


I have done tests before and after the method. The cost is about fifty cents 
a hive.
