Although I have never seen one, the McBean hive barrow had a bicycle wheel
(large wheel - good for rough ground) but then kept the centre of gravity
low - perhaps a bit like this:

Hmmm, never was that good at drawing, but perhaps you get the idea. The
large wheel and low centre of gravity apparently made it very stable.
