ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************
One of the best things for me that came out of the ASTC Conference
that just ended in LA was the interest in sharing exhibit ideas (both
existing ideas and "works in progress") with each other in a more
formalized way than the ISEN-ASTC Listserv, and in a way that creates
an ongoing database that people will be able to continue to refer to,
and benefit from.
The trick is how to make this happen? Is there an existing site or
structure on the Web (like ExhibitFiles.org, for instance)
that we can utilize to make this happen? I'd be willing to start a
new blog or website to help make this happen, but I'd rather build
upon an existing resource, if a suitable one exists.
Naturally, as the editor of ASTC's Exhibit Cheapbooks, I'm very
interested in helping create additional forums for sharing
amongst museum colleagues, so please contact me either on or off list
to keep the momentum that started in LA going.
