Nosema ceranae is running rampant in some operations-- these guys are
calling me and buying scopes to do their own testing.

I have spent the day at a microscopy workshop where we prepared slides of
Nosema ceranea from a sample kindly provided by the Central Science Laboratory
and were unable visually to distinguish them from the N.apis samples. The
lab people who do it for a living can't be sure by looking and so use a PCR
machine.
