In the case of varroa mites the reverse may be true, at
least in one sense. In other words, the "strong" may die,
and the "weak" may survive.

Boy oh boy, I'd paste more written, but this stands out as
completely off the wall to me for not being in tune with
what is going on in the real world. Both can actually do
fine in correct circumstances. Also see no problem with
normal manipulation of hives also or honey getting as far
as varroa is concerned.
