I went to Talking Science's first Science Cabaret at Kenny's Castaways in
May. Very entertaining, physicists laying on a bed of nails, the audience
talking DNA swabs, a scientist using a fire hydrant as a rocket to blast across
the floor of the club! If you are in the New York area, check out the next
Science Cabaret, hosted by Science Friday's Ira Flatow, details below:

August 8, 7-8:30 PM
New York Aquarium

If you liked TalkingScience's "Castaway" Cabaret at Kenny's Castaways,
you'll love this next one: The Profs from Rutgers will be back by popular demand
and they'll be doing what they do best: blowing stuff up in the name of
physics. We'll also have the science of sword swallowing, a chemist to show us the
formula for the tastiest Mojito, games with sea lions....and much much more!
Bring the kids and their friends-- there's plenty of room for everyone at
the New York Aquarium. If you haven't been there yet, you're in for  a treat;
it's by far the best spot on the beach. The show will be 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
Stick around after the show to enjoy a party, Coney Island's fireworks and the
boardwalk, too. More info to come soon...
