Hi, Chris and Bob,

It's not just beekeepers; all the men I know are partially deaf.  May just 
be age, but men who are my age were exposed to a lot of noise in WWII (guns, 
airplanes) and subsequent conflicts, plus various sustained occupational 
noises later (drilling rigs in my case).  Lord knows what the new generation 
of rock fans will develop.
