      Professional Development Opportunities
for K-12 Educators:
AAAS Project 2061*s *Using Atlas of Science Literacy*
  
Join us for the second workshop of2010, February 3-5, at the
DenverMuseumof Nature & Science. 
 
Once again, AAAS Project 2061 is offering a unique professional
development workshop for science educators, Using Atlas of Science
Literacy. The two-volume Atlas contains 100 strand maps developed by
AAAS Project 2061 which present conceptual connections among the ideas
and skills that all students should learn as they make progress toward
science literacy. It givesparticipants a new perspective on
standards-based reform based on understanding the maps, clarifying
standards, changing classroom practice, andimproving curriculum. 
 
Scholarships are available but application deadline is December 18th.
