national environmental education week is the week before earth day in april
- they have a different theme each year. organized by the national
environmental education foundation (NEEF - formerly NEETF), you can find
them on the web at http://www.eeweek.org.
there is also national gardening week the first week of june. i don't know
if any organization is "in charge" of that one, though. perhaps organized
at the state level?
i even think there are things like national pollinator week, etc. there
might even be local weeks in your state. although not a state, in
washington, dc, there is GreenDC week (environment oriented), and are
organizing the first school garden week (inspired by what they do in
california).
as for celebratory days, there's always arbor day...
hope that helps,
grace
washington, dc
