Recently I was listening to something for the first time and, as you do,
even without meaning to, I heard a little phrase that reminded me of
something else I couldn't identify. It took me some hours to nail it.
Someone from the list once moved house and later found a tape he'd
recorded from the radio before he moved: it had no written identification
or back announcement, so he put up a few clips to a website and asked
the list for help. Someone eventually picked it as Ropartz's 3rd symphony.
I later bought it, but although I don't know it all that well, some of
the clips had stuck in my memory. Now I can't remember what the work
was that reminded me of Ropartz!
