Dear HISTARCHers,

I'm organizing a session on applications of feminist theories in
archaeology for TAG 2013 May 9-11, 2013 at the University of Chicago.

Feminist research fits the vision theme of the conference because each
feminist theory provides a different vision of the past. Each feminist
theory asks different questions that provide insight into different aspects
of patriarchy. Feminist theories are like facets on a diamond, each
reflecting glimpses into the core of a sex/gender system. Combining more
than one feminist theory provides more complex understanding of the whole
diamond of a sex/gender system.

Please email me your paper idea if you're interested in contributing to the
session.

regards,
suzanne
