Dear All,

Those of you who are interested in the material manifestations of folk magic in Britain --- concealed shoes, cats and garments and marks such as the hexafoil -- may be interested to know that this practice spread to Australia where I've been researching it for some years. ABC-TV (roughly equivalent to the BBC) carried a report on this research last Friday evening on the programme 7.30 Tasmania. You can see the story by going to this link:
