Or perhaps he's thinking he's Bach (who's Italian Concerto has no orchestra,
prompting one professor to wax specific about "concerto style" rather than
"concerto form") or Chopin (who's orchestral accompaniment for the "Andante
Spianato and Grande Polonaise" is optional). Too bad neither of them had a
vanity label at hand.
