HACH is a good company for complete water quality testing kits. They have a Master
Saltwater test kit (nitrates, pH, ammonia, etc) for about $60. We use HACH almost
exclusively for our freshwater quality tests.

lamotte makes a test kits for both fresh (regular water monitoring test kit) and salt water (estuary) for earthforce's GREEN program. i know you can get them through carolina biological supply for around $40. the kits are easy to use - dissolve tablets and match up colors.
