As I was curious I ordered a Delos-CD by this American composer
some years ago, featuring the violin concerto, the 2nd symphony and the
clarinet concerto (all works from the late 8ties).  After two listenings
I decided that I do not like this music at all and the CD disappeared in
my collection.  Now after more than 2 years I came across this one again
and gave it a listen again!  Surprise,surprise - this is wonderful music -
some kind of atonal Ravel mixed with Hindemith and Bartok ;)!  Especially
this clarinet concerto is delightful!  Strange how opinions change
sometimes (happens quite often with me - by the way!).  My apology - Mr
Lazarof - for my initial ignorance!
