Personally I use acetic acid only to equipment from dead colonies. If they
are with bee droppings I melt all frames, but clean food frames are used
after acetic treatment. ( I have all my hives tested - no afb)
Using acetic acid to all frames during winter has been *normal good
practice* in finnish beekeeping, but many have stopped doing it. Now I have
frieds who use it mainly for EFB prvention. If they see it they treat all
frames during winter for a few years. This is the use I recommend as a bee
advicer. We don't normally use antibiotics for brood deseases.
