This is just a heads-up that American University (Dept of Anthropology)
will be posting a one year sabbatical replacement position for next academic
year (09-10). The position is appropriate to either an historic and/or
prehistoric archaeologist, eastern NA preferred. The person would be
expected to offer basic undergrad Human Origins and Intro to Archaeology
courses, and we are particularly interested in hiring a person who might
enhance gender studies (the archaeology thereof) in our department. The
official full ad will appear very soon on the SAA and SHA job postings as
well as with AAA. It's a good opportunity to spend a year in a university
setting and among the resources of Washington, D.C.
