We recently recovered a number of 19th century debris from several backhoe
trenches in Detroit. One of the items was what appears to a multi-colored
(green, blue, mustard yellow, and black) transfer printed whiteware sherd
with a pastoral-like scene and labelled HARVEST HOME in black beneath the
scene. Other material from this level dates to the 1860's+ period. Does
anyone have any information on this ceramic? Thanks.
