The Rouen building is much debated with opposing arguments that it was a 
Talmudic school, synagogue or Jew's house

Rouen building as a Jewish scholarly cenrtre.and Le monument juif du 
palais de justice de Rouen by Jacques Tanguay which argues for it being 
a Jewish house.
