There was a whole day of fascinating papers on "relevance" in archaeology  at 
Colonial Williamsburg. Both gender and military topics were discussed,  
although I do not recall feminist theory per se. Rather than polarizing, I  suggest 
we compile a monograph on issues we all feel are relevant so we can  explain 
ourselves to Congress, the courts, and even the Administration in the  months 
to come.
