We have a tremendous amount of invasive privet down
here in southern Alabama. I believe it provides a
main part of our spring honey flow. I have not
noticed the production of any "thick, dark,
rotten-tasting" honey here at all. It may be diluted
with the flows from other sources so that it is not
apparent, but I think we get a different kind of flow
from our privet from what you are suggesting.
