Adult dose 250mg – also comes in pediatric chewable tablet. No data on
transfer into human milk…only trace quantities of proguanil were found in
human milk.
According to CDC breastfeeding mothers with infants less than 11kg should
use mefloquine instead of malarone.
Elimination ˝ life for adult dose is 2-3 days.
